Yellville’s Mueller Announces Candidacy for Marion County Treasurer

Cyndi Mueller of Yellville has announced her candidacy for Marion County Treasurer in the March 2026 Republican primary.Mueller currently serves as Chief Deputy Treasurer for Baxter County and previously held the position of Deputy Treasurer in Marion County. She has more than four years of experience in county government and 25 years of experience in the private sector as a business owner, bookkeeper, and billing manager for medical offices.

In a statement, Mueller said her priorities as treasurer would include maintaining transparency, accuracy, and accessibility of financial information for taxpayers. She also said she intends to manage public funds responsibly and uphold fiscal accountability.

Mueller is a facilitator of the Financial Intelligence Software Users’ Group for Arkansas County Treasurers. The software is currently used by the Marion County Treasurer’s Office. She is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University.

Mueller and her husband, Mike, live in rural Marion County. Two of their three children and several grandchildren also reside in the county. She is a member of New Hope Baptist Church and serves as Treasurer for the Friends of the Marion County Library. She is active in the Marion County Republican Party and Republican Women of Marion County.

The Republican primary will take place in March 2026.
